Audience recipes
Five practical audience setups to welcome new hires, re-engage inactive members, reward top networkers, automate mentoring and build custom groups.
Here are five ways to get the most out of audiences. Each recipe gives the audience type and the filters to set. To build them, see Create an audience.
Welcome and engage new employees
Create a warm welcome by automatically inviting new team members into your onboarding program as soon as they join your organization.
Recommended setup
- Dynamic audience
- “Created Date” “Is after N days ago” 60 (profile created within the last 60 days)
- “Number of matchs (overall)” “Is equal to” 0
If your members have a hire date category (for example synced from your HRIS), filter on it instead of “Created Date”: the audience then follows each person’s real arrival date. See Onboarding buddy program.
Re-engage your inactive members
Boost participation by targeting members who dropped off or never fully engaged, and offer them fresh invitations or special matches to reconnect.
Recommended setup
- Dynamic audience
- “Last matched date” “Is before N days ago” 90 (no match in the last 90 days)
- “Number of matchs (overall)” “Less than” 2
Members who have never been matched have no “Last matched date”, so the first filter leaves them out. To include them too, create a second audience with “Number of matchs (overall)” “Is equal to” 0, and select both audiences in your program.
Reward your star networkers
Highlight and reward your most engaged employees with recognition and special experiences.
Recommended setup
- Dynamic audience
- “Number of matchs (overall)” greater than 40
- “Last matched date” “Is after N days ago” 30 (matched within the last 30 days)
Automate mentoring matches
Streamline your mentoring program by automatically removing mentees and mentors once they have been matched.
Recommended setup
- Dynamic audience
- “Number of matchs (per program)” “Is equal to” 0, with your mentoring program selected
- Your participant type category (for example “Participant type”) “Is one of” mentee, mentor
See Create a mentoring program.
Create custom static audiences
Launch tailored programs by adding people by hand to a fixed group. This is perfect for initiatives aimed at specific teams that also include valuable participants from outside those teams.
Recommended setup
- Static audience
- Filters based on categories, activity and more
- Plus other people added by hand
