With the Audience feature, you can easily group participants for your programs using either dynamic rules or manual selection. Here’s how to create your audience in just a few clicks.
Create your audience
1. Go to Members > Audiences, and click "Create audience"
2. Choose whether the audience has to match all filters or at least one
If you select “All”, the filters will use AND logic, meaning only people who match every condition will be included in the audience.
If you select “At least one”, the filters will use OR logic, meaning anyone who matches at least one of the conditions will be included.
3. Create your filters, using Members' info (creation date, role (admin/user), status, email, name...), Member's activity (last matched date, number of matches overall or in a specific program, number of invitations received in a specific program) or categories. You can add as many filters as you want.
You can also create an audience based on previously created audiences: just select "Audiences" in the list, then select your operator ("belongs" or "does not belong to"), and select your audience(s) in the list.
Example:
4. When your filters are ready, click "Search" to update the list
5. Save your audience by clicking "Save as new audience"
6. Give a name to your audience, and select the Audience type (Dynamic audience or Static audience) - learn more in the next paragraph below.
7. Then, click "Create audience". You'll find it in the "Audience" tab of your Members section.
Dynamic vs Static audiences
🔄 Dynamic Audiences
Dynamic audiences are automatically updated in real-time. As users join your organization or their profile or participation data changes, they’ll be added to or removed from the audience based on the criteria you’ve defined. This ensures your audience is always current, without any manual work.
Example: A dynamic audience for “New Hires in the Last 30 Days” will always reflect the latest employees who meet that condition, updating automatically each day.
📌 Static Audiences
Static audiences are manually curated lists that remain fixed unless you choose to update them. When you create a static audience, you’re capturing a snapshot of selected users at a specific moment in time. You can use filters to build the initial list, and then manually add or remove people at any point.
Example: You create a static audience for a one-time leadership workshop, adding selected managers and directors. Even if someone’s profile later changes, the audience won’t update automatically, you’re fully in control.
