Periodically check spam logs during onboarding to address potential false positives early.
✅ No Proxy Blocking
Ensure there are no proxy or SMTP relay policies that interfere with the direct delivery of RandomCoffee emails.
Emails should be allowed to flow without being blocked or delayed by intermediate security proxies.
✅ No External Restrictions
RandomCoffee emails are sent from external servers. Verify that your organisation’s email policies permit receipt from external domains used by RandomCoffee.
Adjust any “internal-only” delivery restrictions if these inadvertently block or reject RandomCoffee emails.
Important: RandomCoffee does not control your internal email security settings. It is your responsibility as the client to ensure that all necessary checks and allowlists are in place so that your users receive their introductions and communications without disruption.
✅ Preventing security bots from interfering with participation links
Many organisations use advanced email security systems that automatically scan or pre-click all links in emails to detect malicious content. While this protects users from phishing attacks, it can cause unintended participation or registration actions within RandomCoffee.
What is Link Scanning / Pre-Clicking?
Security bots “visit” all links in an email to analyse them before delivery to the user.
This results in RandomCoffee registering a link click before the user actually engages, leading to:
False participation records
Inaccurate engagement statistics
Missed introductions
Required Action: exclude RandomCoffee links from scanning
Work with your IT/Security team to:
Allowlist RandomCoffee URLs within your link scanning or Safe Links settings to bypass automated pre-clicking.
Exclude or disable pre-click scanning for RandomCoffee emails if possible within your security solution’s policy.
