# Admin permissions

Choose what each administrator can do in your workspace, from managing members and programs to broadcasts, forms, notes and metrics.

With team permissions, you choose what each administrator of your workspace can do: manage members, programs, audiences, broadcasts, templates, forms, notes and metrics. It is the right tool for multi-level administration.

<Callout type="note">
 Team permissions are available on the Enterprise plan. On other plans, the "Team permissions" page shows "This page is on restricted access".
</Callout>

## When to use team permissions

Team permissions are useful when, for example:

- you have a main administrator, and other administrators who are each responsible for their own programs;
- only some administrators should be able to change the permissions of the others;
- an administrator should not see the programs created or managed by other administrators, and therefore not check or download their results;
- an administrator should not download the full list of members;
- you want to control who can add, edit, remove, activate, deactivate or export members.

## Change an administrator's permissions

<Steps>

1. Open the settings (gear icon), then "Team permissions".

 The page lists your administrators, with a summary of their permissions and of the programs they can access. To add someone to this list, first [grant them admin access](/admin/administrators/administrators-and-members/) from your member list.

 <TeamPermissions alt="The Team permissions page, with the tip "Someone is missing? Add administrators directly from the member list to appear here" and a table of three administrators, each with their permissions, their programs and an "Edit Permissions" link" />

2. Click "Edit Permissions" next to the administrator's name.
3. Turn permissions on or off. By default, every permission is granted.

 <EditAdminPermissions alt="The page "Edit Priya Shah's permissions", with a switch for each permission of the Members section, some on and some off, then the Programs section with "All programs" selected, and the "Save" button at the top right" />

4. Click "Save".

</Steps>

To change permissions, you need the "Can modify other admins' permissions:" permission yourself.

## Available permissions

Permissions are grouped in eight sections.

### Members

- "Can add members:"
- "Can edit members:"
- "Can delete members:"
- "Can activate/deactivate members:"
- "Can export members list in .xls:"
- "Can grant/revoke admin access to members:"
- "Can modify other admins' permissions:"

See [Ways to add members](/admin/members/ways-to-add-members/), [Update members](/admin/members/update-members/), [Remove members](/admin/members/remove-members/), [Active and inactive members](/admin/members/active-and-inactive-members/) and [Administrators and members](/admin/administrators/administrators-and-members/).

### Programs

- "Can add programs:"
- "Can see & manage programs:": choose "All programs", or "Only specific programs" and select them under "Authorized programs:".

### Audiences, Broadcasts, Templates, Forms and Notes

These five sections work the same way. Each one has two permissions:

- a permission to create new items, for example "Can add audience:", "Can create broadcasts:", "Can create templates:", "Can create forms:" or "Can create notes:";
- a permission to see and manage existing items, for example "Can see & manage audiences:": choose all of them, or only specific ones that you select below.

<EditAdminPermissions part="audiences" alt="The Audiences, Broadcasts and Templates sections of the same page, with "Only specific audiences" selected and one authorized audience, "Managers (146 users)"" />

Administrators always keep access to what they create: a new program, audience, broadcast, template, form or note is added to their authorized items automatically.

### Metrics

- "Can access overall metrics dashboard:"
- "Can export data (top randomers, session results):"

## What an administrator sees without a permission

When an administrator does not have a permission, the matching actions are greyed out. Hovering over them shows "You do not have the required team permissions for this action".
